Welcome to Sample Bar's website (the "Site"). Sample Bar Limited ("Sample Bar", "we" or "us") has its principal place of business at Level 2, 20 Augustus Terrace, Parnell, 1052, Auckland, New Zealand. Our Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions ("the Terms"). 

At Sample Bar we seek to provide you with an enjoyable shopping experience while maintaining your privacy. The information that we may collect through the Site or our Services will allow us to enhance your shopping experience by catering to your personal preferences and providing effective customer service. Please read this entire Privacy Policy which will inform you as to the types of information we gather, as well as how we will use and protect such information. By visiting the Site or using our Services you are agreeing to the terms of our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our Privacy Policy, please do not access the Site or use our Services.

In this Privacy Policy, the word "Services" refers to Sample Bar's membership services and/or the online store (as applicable). The word "Users" refers to those individuals ("you", "your") who have either expressed an interest in the Service by joining the waitlis (where a waitlist applies)t, become Glam Pack members of the Service once a slot has become available or those users who are neither on the waitlist nor Glam Pack members but who shop on the online store. 

Information Collected

We collect personal information about you if you subscribe to Sample Bar, place an order through www.samplebar.co.nz or through your general use of our Site or our Services. We also collect information from registration forms that you fill out at the time of registering to use our Site and from member updates and uploads that you may provide us in using our Site or Services. Where you report a problem with our Site, respond to a survey or report, contact us with feedback or complaints or a third party contacts us with feedback or complaints about you or your use of our Site then we may collect this information also. The personal information we collect includes, but is not limited to your name, gender, interests, e-mail address, contact details, shipping address, financial details and your IP address.

As well as personal information, we also collect general information about the use of the Site, such as how frequently certain areas of the Site are visited, including through the use of cookies and other technologies. We collect this information for statistical purposes and to improve the service that we provide to our Users. Should you wish, you may choose to set your browser to disable cookies. However, cookies are necessary to access the Site and our Services.

In the event that you voluntarily submit additional, unsolicited personal information during the registration process or thereafter to Sample Bar, you expressly consent to Sample Bar's collection and storage of such information.

If you choose to invite a friend to join Sample Bar, you will need to provide us with your friend's name and email address. We will store this information to track the success of our referral program.

Protection of your information

Sample Bar has in place, industry standard security measures such as firewalls to prevent the unauthorised access to and use or misuse of your personal information. All credit card information is stored securely offsite via DPS hosted payment solutions provided by Payment Express, the largest Payment Gateway in Australasia. DPS also encrypts your credit card number and personal information using secure socket layer (SSL) technology to provide secure transmission of the information from your PC to our servers. While no system is 100% secure, we work hard to maintain the integrity of our Site and Services by keeping your information as safe as possible. We regularly review our security processes and this Privacy Policy and make improvements where necessary to ensure the ongoing security of your personal information. 

How we use your information

Sample Bar will use your personal information in an effort to improve your shopping experience and to help us identify and/or provide you with information, products and services that we think may be of interest to you. We also use this information to process and fulfil your order, provide customer service, conduct competitions, promotions, surveys or reports, investigate any complaints made by you or about you by other users and to otherwise support your use of the Site and the Services. 

We use non-personally identifiable information in the aggregate, so that we can improve the Site and Services for business and administrative purposes. We may also use or share with third parties for any purpose aggregated data that contains no personally identifiable information.

We may use certain trusted third parties to maintain and operate certain aspects of the Site or the Service. For example, we may use third parties to host the Site; process credit card payments, courier parcels and to assist us in fulfilling your orders. In those instances any third parties who are given access to your information will be contractually obligated to keep such information confidential and to use the information only to provide the services we ask them to perform for you and for us.

We will never sell your personal information to a third party.

We may transfer personally identifiable information as an asset in connection with a proposed or actual merger or sale (including any transfers made as part of an insolvency or bankruptcy proceeding) involving all or part of our business or as part of a corporate reorganization, stock sale or other change in control. If you voluntarily post on public forums such as our blog or any interactive or publicly accessible area of the Site, you should be aware that any personal information you submit there can be read, collected or used by any person for any purpose. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable or other information you choose to submit in these forums. We will not assume any obligation to monitor, filter, censor edit or regulate information or content provided by you or third parties on this Site.

Access to and updating your personal information

If you are a member of our Services, you may access your membership information via the profile page on the Site. You may also contact us in relation to having access to the personal information that we hold about you. We endeavour to ensure that all information held by us about you is complete, accurate and up-to-date. We ask that, as and when necessary, you update your personal information by going into My Account.

Unsubscribe/Opt-out

We will give you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving advertising, marketing or promotional materials sent by us or our third party business parties or to unsubscribe from any newsletters that we send to our members.
